Pura LuhurUluwatu or the Uluwatu Temple is a popular destination among the tourists who visit this area and is known for the spectacular views it provides as a sea temple located on a cliff.
It’s a spiritual pillar
Bali has 6 main spiritual pillars (all of which are temples) and Pura LuhurUluwatu is also one of them. The Hindu community believes that this place is blessed with holy powers of Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva which is why this has become a favourite place of worship for them.
Its mind-blowing sights
Travellers love to witness the colourful sunsets here, while also enjoying direct views of the Indian Ocean. This temple takes pride in having the best of Balinese architecture and also the most ancient sculptures of all.
The temple is open from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm only. Since there is no public transportation available to get to Uluwatu Temple, get a taxi pre-arranged with or without a guide.
