The Secret Buddha Garden was created in 1976 by a local farmer, Nim Thongsuk, who decided to transform the land around his family home into a sanctuary of peace and harmony. The garden is a testament to his devotion to Buddhism and his love of nature, featuring more than 80 sculptures of deities, animals, and humans, as well as fountains, streams, and waterfalls.
Architecture and Design
The garden is divided into different sections, each with its own unique charm and beauty. The main statue of the Buddha is the centrepiece of the garden and is surrounded by smaller sculptures of monks, animals, and mystical creatures. The paths are lined with tropical plants and flowers, and there are plenty of benches and quiet spots to sit and meditate.
