How to Get There
All the buses that go along the coastline roads will take you to Mirissa. It is approximately 2 and a half hours from Colombo via the Southern Expressway. You can also take the train to Galle and then drive to Mirissa.
Once in Mirissa, it is very easy to get to the viewpoint on Parrot Rock. As it is directly connected to the Mirissa beach you don’t have to hire a boat to get there. There are a set of rough stairs that you can climb up to the viewpoint. However, it is important that you know that the pathway goes underwater during the high tide.
