Doha Metro
The Doha Metro system is quick, efficient, and affordable. It was declared open in 2019 and would expand all of its seven lines by 2022. Currently, only three of the lines are open to the general public. You can directly travel from the airport to some of the best hotels in Qatar by using this system.
Taxis in Doha
A popular travel method is by Karwa taxis, which are the official of its kind in Doha. They can be easily spotted at all the major venues in the city due to their turquoise blue exteriors. If you prefer getting around via private-hire taxis, make sure you have them pre-booked from a trusted firm. Uber and Careem apps can be used to find taxis as well.
Hire a Car
If hiring a car is more convenient for you, there are facilities for that at many locations such as the Hamad International Airport, malls, and hotels such as Souq Al Wakra Hotel Qatar by Tivoli.
Buses
The government-run bus services operate every 15-30 minutes at almost all the city routes. Although timetables are conveniently displayed at each bus stop, tourists hardly choose to ride on buses.
