Overview
Regarded as one of the first palaces in the region of Sur, the castle was built to protect the royal family and its people from the attacks of other hostile tribes people. The museum
The museum of Bilad Sur Castle features a wide array of artefacts and relics. Some of them are, jewels which were used by the royal families, sculptures, artworks furniture, clothes, accessories and weaponry.
Getting there
The castle is located in the central region of the Bilad Sur Plain approximately about 2 hours drive away from Muscat. You can reach here by taxi or a bus for which the journey time would be about 4 hours.
