Previously known as Alternative Local Quarantine (ALQ), Koh Samui Alternative Quarantine (AQ) include a number of government-approved hotels that can be utilised for the purpose of quarantine.
Overview
Presently, there are around 10 hotels that are included in the list of approved Koh Samui Alternative Local State Quarantine Hotels including Koh Samui resorts such as the Avani+ Samui Resort. All these hotels are approved to be operated as Alternative Local Quarantine hotels.
Payments
Some of the ALQ hotels don’t accept credit cards. Other places would try to charge extra or employ unsafe methods to proceed with the payment. Direct payment to the hotel’s bank account would be a wise choice.
What Are the Facilities That Are Given to the Guests?
Guests are offered facilities including airport transfers, full-board accommodation, RT-PCR tests, and other complimentary in-resort activities.
What If You Want to Fly Back to the Capital City?
If you’re taking a flight back to the capital of Thailand, Bangkok, you will be required to quarantine in the capital city itself (not in Koh Samui), in an Alternative State Quarantine Hotel.
