One of the best ways to explore Hua Hin’s expansive beauty and charm is on a day trip, where it’s just you and the scenic sights all around. Here’s a simple itinerary that takes you towards the south of Hua Hin, where untapped beauty awaits.
Khao Takiab
As you’re heading south, you’ll come across Khao Takiab, a hilly peninsula where a Buddhist temple overlooks the sea. Also known for its rampant population of monkeys, the spot is a unique find, not far from hotels like Anantara Hua Hin Resort.
Wat Tham Khao Tao
The Hat Sai Noi Khao Tao viewpoint is the next place to visit, home to the Wat Tham Khao Tao, which is elegantly carved into rocks. You can explore the cave temple or hike to the Giang Golden Buddha statue at the top of the hill.
Pran Buri Forest Park
Your next stop takes you away from Hua Hin’s spiritual side and deep into its natural world. The Pran Buri Forest Park features a 1-kilometre wooden trail that takes you through the dense mangrove forest, a thriving ecosystem that will surprise you at every turn.

Khao Kalok Trail
Continue further south and you’ll find the rocky peninsula called Khao Kalok, where a 20 – 30 minute trail leads you right to the top. Once you’re there, the incredible views are yours to admire before heading back to the comfort of the Hua Hin hotels where you began.
